The Audacity Factory Incubator Program for Social Innovation on NCSU’s Campus Officially Launces

Program Kicks Off With An Open House on Thursday, May 7

WHAT:
Audacity Factory and its partner, the Institute for Nonprofits, officially launch the incubator program at NC State with an event announcing plans for its 2015-2016 program. The Audacity Factory will work with visionary leaders, nonprofits, students and entrepreneurs—all with a goal to do social good.

ABOUT THE FACTORY INCUBATOR PROGRAM:
The Audacity Factory is a physical space for intentional “creative collisions” to encourage cross-discipline exposure and research for social innovation. The program houses organizations with audacious plans to do social good. Over the course of the program, organizations will receive customized mentoring to aid in growing and scaling their impact. The first nine-month program will commence in fall 2015 and will include 5 – 7 innovators accepted into the program. These innovators will work at the “factory” alongside a Brain Trust (mentors) to hone their approach to whatever social problem they are trying to solve. The Brain Trust is comprised of mentors in a variety of fields spanning the nonprofit and business worlds, including representation from Johnson & Johnson and CNN. Each organization will be paired with mentors and will commit to development sessions on a regular basis. Applications open May 7, 2015.
