Did you know heart disease is the number one cause of death in the United States? In observance of February being American Heart Health Month, Orangetheory Fitness is hosting a fundraiser for the American Heart Association of the Triangle with an all-day event Wednesday, Feb. 18. Community members are invited to come to Orangetheory Fitness Morrisville and Chapel Hill locations and take classes to help raise money for this cause.
Orangetheory Fitness is a revolutionary 60-minute workout that features high-intensity interval training classes. Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), the heart rate monitored classes are designed to keep heart rates in two target zones (Orange and Red) for a combined 12 to 20 minutes during each class to stimulate metabolism and increase energy. The result is the Orange Effect – more energy, boosted metabolism, visible toning and extra calorie burn for up to 36 hours after your workout!
Both Triangle Orangetheory Fitness locations will donate $5 for each person (members and non-members) that keeps their heart rate in the e Orange and Red Zones for a combined 12 to 20 minutes on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Those interested in trying Orangetheory Fitness can book their first class free of charge and are encouraged to do so Feb. 18 to start improving their heart health and raise money for American Heart Association of the Triangle.
Orangetheory Fitness Morrisville is located in the Park West Village shopping center at 1112 Market Center Drive. The brand new Orangetheory Fitness Chapel Hill studio is located in the Meadowmont Village shopping center at 104 Meadowmont Village Circle.
