RH This Weekend: Time to Explore

We love the brisk weekend mornings and sunny afternoons of these November weekends! Its a great time to get out and enjoy the changing colors around the City of Oaks and stay warm with some fun activities around town. Here are some things we’ve got happening around Raleigh this 11/8-11/10 weekend. 


  • Portraits and Landscapes: Songs from My Travels
    • About: Songs from Scotland, England, Ireland, Sweden and the US, featuring works by Burns, Vaughan Williams, Britten, John Duke and others.
    • Time: 7:00PM
    • Where: Bosendorfer Hall at Ruggero Piano
    • Cost: Free
  • Fall Craft Fair
    • About: From the 8th -10th come to the State Farmer’s Market and go one-stop holiday shopping  with more than 100 local crafters to choose from!
    • Time: Daily 9:00AM – 5:00PM
    • Where: State Farmer’s Market


  • American Cars and Hot Rods Meetup
    • About: Bring the family for some four-wheel fun! On four Saturdays during Porsche by Design, the Museum presents juried car shows along Blue Ridge Road. Enjoy classic, curvaceous, creative, and just-plain-cool cars, along with music, food trucks with breakfast and snacks for sale, a kids play zone, and health screenings by UNC-REX.

    • Where: Museum Park at North Carolina Museum of Art
    • Cost: Free
  • 2013 Veteran’s Day Parade
    • About: The parade is held in downtown Raleigh and starts at the intersection of Fayetteville and Davie St. A wreath laying and ceremony will be held at 11am on the north side of the North Carolina Capitol grounds. Music and static displays make up this perfect family day.
    • Time: 9:30AM
    • Where: Intersection of Fayetteville and Davie St.
    • Cost: Free
  • A Taste of Raleigh Gourmet Food Tour
    • About: Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to talk with chefs and owners who are serving innovative ethnic and southern cuisine, scratch-made desserts, local beer, wine, and more.
    • Time: 1:45-5:00PM & 3:30-7:00PM
    • Where: City of Raleigh Museum
    • Cost: $47.50-$62.50 per person (Purchase Tickets)


  • 2nd Annual Raleigh Artists and Authors Showcase
    • About: Celebrate the joy of reading and the beauty of art at tile artist Marina Bosetti’s Studio and Showroom in Boylan Heights. View stunning art, jewelry, sculpture and more by 10 local artists.
    • Time: 1:00-4:00PM
    • Where: Bosetti Art Tile Studio & Showroom
    • Cost: Free
  • PineCone Irish Jam Session at Tir na nOg
    • About: PineCone and Tír na nÓg co-sponsor an open, Irish-style session every Sunday starting at 3pm. All musicians, singers, instruments, dancers, and listeners are welcome.

    • Where: Tir na nOg Irish Pub
