Orangetheory Fitness, the unique group-training workout backed by the science of EPOC, is growing in the Triangle again with a fourth studio, which will open in North Raleigh early fall. The studio is being developed in the Falls Village shopping center off Falls of Neuse Road. A pre-sale location is now open in the plaza to introduce the Orangetheory Fitness concept and let local individuals lock in memberships at limited-time discounted rates, available only before the studio opens.
Orangetheory Fitness was first introduced to the Triangle in January 2014 with the opening of its Morrisville studio in the Park West Village shopping center. A second Triangle location opened October 2014 in Chapel Hill’s Meadowmont Village shopping center, and a third Triangle-area studio opened its doors in Holly Springs Towne Center this past April.
At each Orangetheory Fitness class, participants wear heart-rate-monitors as they go through short bursts of exercise designed to maximize the Orange Effect, which is achieved when a person’s heart rate reaches 85 percent of their maximum heart rate for 12 to 20 minutes during class. This results in extra caloric burn for up to 36 hours after the workout, also known as EPOC or excess-post exercise oxygen consumption. Participants can burn up to 1,000 calories in each 60-minute class – one of the many reasons it’s been hailed by CNN, Forbes, SELF Magazine, Men’s Journal and Health Magazine as one of the most highly effective workouts in the nation.
“More energy, visible toning and a boosted metabolism are just a few things you can expect from Orangetheory Fitness,” says Kristie Shifflette, local franchise owner of Orangetheory Fitness North Raleigh, Morrisville and Chapel Hill locations. “Whether you’re just beginning your fitness journey or you’re an avid athlete already, our workout is designed to benefit all shapes, sizes and fitness levels. What makes us unique from any other workout is that you can actually see your heart rate during class on TV screens throughout the studio. Our skilled trainers use this data to help you get the best workout possible. Say goodbye to wondering how many calories you’ve burned, and how hard you worked out. With our OTbeat heart rate monitored technology, you can now take home a full report showcasing exactly how you did after every single class. No more guessing!”
Orangetheory Fitness memberships never require a long-term commitment and can currently be secured at reduced rates for a limited time for new members only at the North Raleigh pre-sale location. Rates are fixed for founding members only and are not subject to future increases while the membership remains active. Fees are also not charged until the studio officially opens in early fall.
Raleigh residents are urged to join now to secure these discounted founders’ rate memberships while they last. To learn more about the workout that is making headlines across the country, community members can stop by the pre-sale location at 6643 Falls of Neuse Rd., directly next to TJ Maxx, and just three doors down from the future studio address at 6625 Falls of Neuse Rd., suite 107.
